I’m fascinated by all self-improvement ideas and in ways of sorting out the apparently un-sortable – particularly in the softer skills.

A Note on My Affiliate Links:

I’ve decided it’s good practice to start putting the word ‘Afflink’ next to my affiliate links – quite a few of the things I provide affiliate links to offer free newsletters of value in and of themselves, but if you ever buy anything from those sites I get a commission.  My getting a commission does not alter the price you will pay for the item (but who’s to say if you don’t go search hard enough you won’t find it cheaper elsewhere?).

I don’t just recommend links for the cash – I’ve usually had experience of the material for a long while before it appears on here.  Michael Neill and Dr Joe Rubino, for example, are people I’ve been listening to and reading material from for a long time.

I am an ebay partner and an Amazon affilliate – so all of the book hyperlinks and the ebay search box are commission-paying for me if you buy them.

At this point in time I don’t intend to go back to my previous posts and put ‘Afflink’ in against things already posted but I am going to do this in future (from 26 June 2009).

Quite a few of the links are not affiliate links – Steven Price (the Agoraphobia expert), for example, is not an affiliate link of mine. It isn’t all about the cash – I would have been blogging about the folks I’m an affiliate for even if they didn’t offer affiliate programmes.  But I do want to earn a living from this one day so I may as well start now.

My original reason for creating a blog was that it would act as a platform for my ‘Destroy Your Obsessions’ book which I’m still working on – the blog’s taken on a life of it’s own in the meantime!
